Workflow automation
Less chasing. More doing.
Senior-led automation for teams and growing businesses: progress that reports itself, processes that run without copy and paste, and AI that takes on the busywork, with a person still in charge.
Every commit
On every Avantra project, each code change updates the plan and posts to the client's Slack channel automatically.
Where the time goes
- “Where are we with it?” messages
- Copying data between tools
- Status reports built by hand
- Enquiries waiting to be sorted
- The same email, written again and again
- Processes that live in one person's head
The working example: our own pipeline
Progress that reports itself
We built this for our own projects first. Clients see progress every day without a single status meeting.
- CommitEach code change is linked to its task in the project plan.
- PlanThe task in Linear moves along on its own as work is reviewed and shipped.
- ChannelEvery change posts to the client's own Slack channel as it happens.
We can set up the same for your team.

How we work
- 1
Map the process
We look at how the work really happens today, and where the time goes.
- 2
Start with the biggest win
We automate the step that costs the most time first, so you feel the benefit quickly.
- 3
Build it to be reliable
Error alerts, logging and clear documentation, so nothing quietly stops working.
- 4
Keep improving
Add the next automation, or hand it over to your team. You own it either way.
Automation questions
Should we use Zapier, Make or custom code?
Off-the-shelf tools like Zapier, Make and n8n are quick to set up and work well for simple flows. Custom code makes sense when volumes grow, the logic gets complicated or subscription costs climb. We'll recommend the simplest option that will hold up, and explain why.
Can you set up commit-to-Slack updates for our own team?
Yes. We can connect your code, project plan and Slack so progress reports itself, the same way every Avantra project runs.
Is it safe to use AI with our data?
We use business AI services, check how each one handles your data, keep sensitive information out where it isn't needed, and keep a person in charge of decisions that matter.
What happens when one of our tools changes?
Automations are built with error alerts and logging, so problems are spotted quickly rather than discovered weeks later. Everything is documented, so it can be fixed or extended easily.
Do we own the automations?
Yes. They run in your accounts wherever possible, and you're never locked in.
How much does automation cost?
Every project is scoped to fit. We'll start with the automation that saves the most time, and you'll know what it costs before any work begins.
